The Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate Program of Adena Health System is dedicated to serve the needs of women, children and men who have experienced Interpersonal Violence such as Sexual and/or Domestic Violence, Child and/or Elder Abuse or those who may have been victims of Hate Crimes. We offer survivors comprehensive advocacy starting in the Emergency Room. Trauma informed services are hospital and medical advocacy, resource linkage and referral and safety services including safety planning and shelter placement. In addition the program offers free peer to peer support groups, community education and an aftercare advocate to help individuals at any point in their healing process.

Amethyst provides a housing environment that is abstinence-based, creating an alcohol and drug-free environment. • Intensive Treatment Program Integrated with Housing is based on the expectation that participants are involved in intensive outpatient treatment for their addiction. The recovery plan includes individual and group sessions and assignments personalized for each individual.

The Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program (SAOP) is a rape crisis center serving seven Appalachian counties in Southeastern Ohio. Since 2013, SAOP has built community relationships within their service area to enable the delivery of comprehensive victim services and SV prevention education and awareness campaigns. In addition to providing a 24-hour crisis hotline, in-person advocacy (e.g., legal, medical, law enforcement, etc.) and accompaniment (e.g., medical, legal, etc.) to survivors, SAOP coordinates sexual assault response teams (SARTs) in two counties and conducts advocacy and prevention work in partnership with K-12 schools, community organizations, and secondary education communities including Ohio University, University of Rio Grande/ Rio Grande Community College, and Hocking College.
